Large gray colored squirrel with bushy tail and tufted ears. Faint brown to red stripes run down center of back. Underside of tail is white.
Similar to Minks in size, with light brown, yellow and white coloration and distinct black feet. Black rings also appear around eyes and tip of tail. Although once common, today they are very rare in the wild and endangered, only three wild populations are known to exist.
